RoXdon EDISON Transformer Preamplifier
BRITISH HANDBUILT SOUND EQUIPMENT The RoXdon EDISON Transformer Preamplifier is a passive stereo preamplifier utilising transformers to achieve gain together with audio isolation to prevent earth loops. The RoXdon EDISON is a hand built hardwired (no internal connectors or PCB's) passive transformer audio unit featuring left & right inputs & outputs via 1/4" TS jack and RCA phono connections all housed in a diecast alluminium enclosure providing comprehensive electrical shielding. A high quality audiophile grade potentiometer is used for volume adjustment via a Marconi style blue control knob. The two heavy duty custom made Z11 Iron Core Transformers have matched parameters to ensure that the left and right sounds are balanced and coordinated. These transformers impart warm sounding harmonics and subtle coloration as found in vintage analog sound equipment. FEATURES *
