Runway Pro Audio is a distributor & retailer of Professional Audio Equipment from the fine brands Bellari, Capture, FMR Audio, Golden Age Project / Premier, Han-D-Mag, Luke Audio, Rolls, RoXdon Audio, RoXonix Music and Sonic Farm. Other brands are also available in our online retail store.

HISTORY

Runway Pro Audio beginnings go back to January 1988 when Sound Engineer Andy Wildy, formed Runway Music, a Musical Instrument Store based in Horley, Surrey close to Gatwick Airport (hence the trading name Runway).

In 1998, the company name was changed to Runway UK and activities included: Musical Instrument retailing; Sound & Lighting Hire; Audio Visual Sales; Hire & Installation; Loudspeaker Manufacturing; Concert PA Sound Systems and Lighting Rigs; Nightclub Sound Installations; Outdoor Horn Public Address Systems; 2-Way Radio Sales & Hire; Recording Studio Ownership.

In 2000, Runway formed its video production division, Pinewood Video, providing high definition video production including broadcast quality programs, documentaries, training films, music videos & live performance videos.

In June 2006 the MICSDIRECT web site was set up and in subsequent years grew to become one of the UK & Europe's leading online supplier of professional microphones and  related equipment. 

2009 was the year the RoXdon brand was launched with the manufacture of Professional Quality Microphones and Accessories used in Recording and Broadcast Studios.

In the Summer of 2017, our company name was changed to RUNWAY PRO AUDIO to reflect the specific in dustry we now represent. The RoXonix brand was also developed during this year with a range of Fretless Bass Guitars.

Investment in the RoXdon brand over the next few years brings new hand built Studio Equipment and magnetic recording tape splicing products for which Runway is the world leader.

In June 2023 we completed of our new production studio designed for Audio Mastering Services and real-time Cassette Tape Duplication using Tascam 112 Decks, following the resurgence of Musicians requiring this format.

In 2023, Runway Pro Audio continues to distribute high quality Professional Audio Equipment through our Authorised Dealer Network.
